I had a BIOS update failure on a computer someone was using. They have turned to me for help.

I do not have a Windows 7 or 8 system around to run the Dell Crisis BIOS Recovery application on. When I try to run it on my PC, I get the following error:

Error: Failed to start service "WinCrisis"

    and

    Warning, the driver loaded fail.

Any suggestions on how to recover from this update failure? System is from a rural school district in Mexico that cannot afford to replace the system.

Directions I have followed so far: https://www.dell.com/community/Laptops-General-Read-Only/Bios-Update-failed/m-p/4151525
