The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.
I think their quality is garbage and for the same price you can do better with Acer or other brands. The 600m specifically is one of their best models though and its life was actually just extended by Dell. I'd feel okay about buying that one, but you can still probably do better. If you post a new thread in teh general hardware forum with your needs and budget we'll suggest a few models for you to look at.

Well I've had my Dell 2500 for about 5 years now - in that time I've had no problems with it (beyond the fact it came with windows ME...), its been dropped, at times abused and has come through it working perfectly... Absolutely no complaints...
I have had Sonys, Toshibas, Hps and more over the years until 3 weeks ago when they had the big Dell sale. I bought two. First Dells I have ever had and they are doing well. I really like them. Well enough to sell my Sony anyways
what? there are other computer makers out there besides Dell? man, i've never owned anything else. i guess i just got use to them even though some things i hate. but they've been on the whole trouble free. more problems with software (damn microsoft) than hardware. i think that's why i just bought a new 700m.
