    Hello ppl,

    I have a 3 yr old Dell Inspiron 1150..Celeron 2.6GHz with 256 mb RAM...

I connect my phone to the Laptop on the USB Port to connect to the Internet. Last week, I got a USB Power Surge Error when i connected my phone. On restarting the laptop, the USB ports and the soundcard are not working.

I booted a Linux live cd to check if it's a software issue but it does not appear to be.

Surprisingly, my iPod gets charged when connected to the USB port.

Any clues what's the prob guys??!

    Thanks
    FE
