I saw rumours about Dell releasing a new lineup or something, there is a 35% coupon till tomorrow.
I can get my dream XPS 2 for 2,000$ only, should I wait and see the new models or get it?
    What do you guys think?

    thanks for any ideas.

Another question, is it worth it upgrading:
IntelĀ® PRO 2200 and Dell 350 Bluetooth Internal Wireless Card
    to
IntelĀ® PRO 2915 and Dell 350 Bluetooth Internal Wireless Card
    for additional 20$?
And btw, what are the uses of Bluetooth? Is it only transfering information between a computer and a cellphone?

get it now...and get the 2915 wireless card..because if you do like the newer models...then you can just cancel this order..and if you don't like the new order...then looks like you're getting a sweet XPS gen 2  ;) :p

Dell won't be releasing a totally new generation XPS, rather, they are realising a XPS Gen. 2 with the Nvidia GeForce Go 7800GTX. This is a nice graphics card but the Nvidia GeForce Go 6800 Ultra (in the current XPS's) can handle all current generation games and will handle a couple more generations of gaming. I don't know if it will be able to handle the new Unreal Engine but, if the 7800GTX can't handle it, then the 6800 Ultra won't be able to handle it either.

I recomend getting the XPS now expecially at that price. Unless you are constantly connecting to a 802.11A network, then you can get the Intel 2200 wireless as most wireless networks out there are 802.11G. I also recomend getting the internal bluetooth card. You can hook up a bluetooth wireless mouse, keyboard, game pad, presentation devices, cell phones, and wireless headsets via the bluetooth card. It is kinda nice being able to pull a wireless mouse out of my bag and just turning it on instead of having to plug it in. Additionally I use my bluetooth mouse to do a lot of presentations and it really comes in handy with PowerPoint.

Just make sure you get the DVD burner, minimum amount of RAM (Dell charges way too much for RAM), and any of the Intel wireless network adapters and bluetooth adapter. Other than getting those things, I wouldn't really worry about anything else. I also recomend getting the Pentium M 2GHz processor as there really isn't any performance difference between the 2.12GHz and 2GHz Pentium M processors (ie it isn't worth the money to pay for a 120MHz upgrade).
