-
orly?!?!?!?!?!
-
someone sticky this thread please. bump for now.
-
I know that the Vostro 1400 is made by Asus. The material and design (access all components from bottom panels) are way too similar to my older A2K.
Then as I went into Dell's component list, it says AsusTek on the module. -
Aaaaaaand duh?
-
Gonna bring this to top of page.
-
Any other revelations? -
lol......................................
-
This is ingenious...definitely deserves a permanent sticky.

Really? Glad I canceled my Vostro.. I hate the quality of the Inspiron line
-
Its friday kick back and find someone else to take the mick out of, has happened to us all at some point on here -
-
What,?, my vostros and inspiron, who would have known other than everyone?
-
LOL at the first post (edit)
-
Ah man somebody is too serious.
Why make such a big deal -
Is there a link at the beginning of this thread explaining what is referred to in the title of the thread?
I am curious about the difference between the two lines and would like to read what that is - besides the color and the XP option. -
The only difference is the color. I hate it when a company calls the same thing a different name. It just confuses their customers.
-
Damn so the vsotro aint magnesium?
-
OP, your post does have merit so no need to feel bad.
Admittedly, the series of replies in this thread gave me quite the chuckle on a Fri night, and I'm not at all a regular here.
But, to be honest, I'd no idea till recently that Inspirons & Vostros were one and the same, as judging from TV spots, they seemed like different machines targeted at different markets, so in my naivety I'd assumed they were, yanno, different. -
The only "real" differences in software and OS.
Can't configure Home Premium "easily" or "normally" on Vostro. (Basic/Bussiness/Ultimate)
Not as much crapware. Aaaaand I believe that's about it
Inspiron and Vostro are the same thing.
