Recently I get the warning that my battery cannot be charged. Ironically it started right at the 1 year anniversary of my purchase. Is there a counter I canreset? The battery is working fine, charges fine, but the message keeps threatening that it will not be charged...

    Thanks!

try running the battery down to critical levels. then charge back up. maybe needs to be recalibrated.

1 year warranty on battery only. I still have 1 year left on laptop. I told dell that they need to make their crappy battery warranty in bold print under the optional warranty pages.

I bought a $60 Dell 9-cell off ebay,be careful! My new 9 cell has been fine these last 5 months.

    Thanks for the responses!
Actually the battery still seem to work and charging but the annoying pop-up messages that I wanted to get rid off. I was hoping I could reset some kind of counter?

    Thanks again!
