Hey, I have an Inspiron e1505 and I just got a Sony 26'' LCD TV with my Christmas money. I'm wondering what I need to do to hook the laptop up to the tv so I can watch movies on it. I know the laptop has a VGA output and the TV has a VGA input, but I'm not sure which type of VGA cable I need to use.

Any advice on what type of cable would be appreciated. :)

VGA is an okay connector, however, some people have complained of it lacking in quality. I am not too sure myself, as I have neve tried it. However, if you want to connect using VGA, then you will probably need a female to female connector. These cables aren't oo expensive or anything, and they are widely available. Hope this helps.
