Hi,
I have a n5010 with these specs:
Intel i5 M480 2.66GHz
4 Gb DDR3
ATI radeon HD 5650 (1Gb dedicated)
I was wondering if you knew any way to decrease temperature, besides cleaning laptop and removing dust?maybe a better heatsink or fan? someway too cool down hard drive ?
Also I know using "power saver" plan or "balanced" plan makes cpu use lower energy and therefore produce less heat so in theory if I'm running a game with "power saver" plan ,temperatures should be less than when I'm running it with "balanced" or "high performance" ?

go to advanced power plan settings
set max processor usage to 90% from 100%
temp. will never go beyond 90°c provided you raise ur laptop and use it on flat solid surface specially while gaming,no cooling pad or cleaning required. -
thanks for your answer balkeet.
I tried 98% and it worked,and I lost 2-4c .
I was hoping for another way involving placing external fans or maybe heatsink somewhere under laptop,to decrease heat ,or maybe changing laptops fan for a better one if possible. -
i use this portable table
u can c pc is raised
i got max temp of 85 for bf3 n fifa12
in air conditioner temp never go beyond 80
never do gamin with laptop on lap,bed or sofa.Attached Files:
