okay like some of you I've been waiting on the supposed refresh of the Inspiron that is due to come out June 5th but i've yet to see or hear anything since the article was first 'leaked'
    http://www.engadget.com/2008/05/08/dell-inspiron-1435-1535-and-1735-leaked/

So has anyone else heard anything new in regards to this? Was it a hoax? The only thing that has me thinking it may still be true is the fact there are no 'good' Dell coupons left especially on the Inspiron or a matter of fact on anything as the XPS 25% ones are gone as well. I really like the look of the supposed 1735 and i held of on the great deals for the 1530XPS so hopefully i made a wise choice but if not hopefully there will be some good deals again.

There was supose to be more news about this, but there wasn`t.
There ain`t that much of a difference, the performance will be identical. Maybe they`re waiting for the Montevina.

they had to delay the new ones cuz intel delayed the montevinas to july, so if u want it gonna have to wait 2 more months. dell intended it to be the montevina release sets.

that design reminds me alot of the xps,

that was really one of the main reasons for me picking up the xps, the design. If they are going to be offering something that looks that good w/out the xps price tag, it would be nice

yeh, but apparently, if u need a laptop with dedicated gpu, ur gonna HAVE to buy a xps cuz all the inspirons will ship with intel integrated gpu  however, rumors say that the xps line will be refreshed as well so maybe the new xps will look even better! hopefully with better speakers!

You should listen to the speakers on the Toshiba Qosmios, the Harman Khardon can really blow you away :)
As for the XPS having the rule of dedicated GPUs, it actually makes much more sense this way.
