Is anyone else's silver paint on the media buttons seem to be slowly coming off? I'm starting to see the blue LEDs leak through little holes in various spots of the media buttons...

Well it seems like it's just a design flaw then. Ugh.

The same is happening on mine, but you can only see this when the light up so it's not that much of a problem.

Yeah, mine too, but it only bothers me if I'm angled at the correct position looking down on it...other than that, it doesn't bother me too much...and the paint seems to be internal doesn't it?? As in it seems like it's not from using the buttons too much, but rather the paint has come off from the inside...I don't know, maybe I'm just thinking too much about it, but Yes, I can see that it's wearingn off somehow....

Paint wares off people, period. Especially if it's rubbed/poked/scratched a lot.

I got a brand new BMW 3 series sitting in the driveway and after 2 months it's got more scratches and paint waring off it then all the computers in my house combined. If a European cars paint wares off obviously an moron (USA) made laptop is gonna ware a bit.. Common sense..

    People nit pick to much..

I guess it's a design flaw that beauty is not ever.. Who ya gonna blame in 40 years when look at you're self in the mirror and notice you're old? I guess that's a design flaw god made?..HAH..

Wow, not to be rude, but that was a bad post. Both your analogies were absolutely terrible.

First off, a computer != a car. Your car is put in various weather conditions, exposed to dirt, rocks, people, etc. How is that even comparable?

Secondly, my paint started waring off less than a month after I purchased the notebook. On top of that, I NEVER use the media buttons. It obviously isn't that big of a deal, it's just one of those things that irritate you.

Btw, who the hell scratches, pokes, and rubs their media buttons?

It's cool and all that you felt the need to bring your hatred and ignorance into your post. That just shows the type of person you are. But I'd like to warn you, you may want to read the crap that you type before calling someone else (or another country for the matter) a moron.

I guess the design flaw God gave you is the lack of a fully functional brain.

If you don't have anything good to say, you have dont have to inform us. We know that Dell has its flaws.

    Yeah...

The saddest part is that the poster then proceeded to PM 3 messages cursing me out and telling me how I'm wrong.

    Lol, what an idiot.

mmmm, maybe I should tell Dell to use quality paint on my new 1520 before I receive it and don't use those no-name brands they have been secretly using on us lol :D
