My parents want a new computer and they love the idea of having a laptop. So they have given me the green light to order an inspiron for $799 (AUD). I have left everything as it was pre set, to get the cheapest price, but i was wondering about two components.

    1. The Processor:

    Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor T3200 -
Is it going to handle vista, outlook express, internet?

    2. The Video Card:

    Intel® Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 -
Will vista run okay on this?

    They don't want anything sluggish!

Pentium Dual Core is fine. I just got an Inspiron 1525 with 3GB of ram, 250 GB hard drive, and an Intel Pentium Dual Core previously ordered new at the dell outlet (never turned on by customer) for only $509 US dollars. I don't notice any difference between it and my Dell Studio's Core 2 Duo at all. It multitasks just fine, and it never lags. Hell, they could run whatever they wanted except a game at the same time. I'm sure it wouldn't lag. Not for anything my parents would do anyway.
