    I generally find the Notebook System Software to be pretty helpful, but it's not required. You just get less software support for things like media buttons. If you're someone who regularly patches your systems, you will probably want the System Software, but again, not necessary for the day-to-day operation of your machine.

    i wanna know if it is gonna slow down my system or will only give performance boost?

    No performance boost. Possibly a very minimal loss of performance.
