So I received my 1520 earlier this week, and I have been having problems with the internet. If I run a program like Limewire or UTorrent, my internet ceases to connect, even thought the wireless signal shows connected strong.

Same thing when I try it with a ethernet cable.

    This is really frustrating.

    Can anyone help me?

(I am running Vista Home Premium by the way)

    had the same problem.

CHANGING OR TURNING OFF YOUR FIREWALL (both windows and McAfee) DOES NOTHING.

It's with McAfee. You got to remove two components to fix it.

    SpamKiller and Privacy Service.

    Restart computer, and voila.

    How do you do this?

You go to add/remove programs. Choose McAfee, and delete those two components.

I was stumped for a few days, finally figured it out yesterday. BitTorrent and Limewire work just fine once that's done.

The problem is that Limewire and UTorrent won't connect, but internet explorer won't connect either. Is this the same problem you had go_leafs_go02?

    exactly the same.

No internet connectivity at all. though it says it is fine and dandy, it is simply dead.

I tried Limewire, BitTorrent, UTorrent, all with the same results.

since I took off those two components, no problems..at all!

haha...i was stumped for quite a few days. I punched in so many things into google like, 'limewire vista problem'

and eventually weeded out the problem.

I'm assuming it works for you..correct?
