All right, I've recently been fixing up and old Inspiron 2500 and when reading through reviews, I found a few that mentioned a tv-out port. Well, while looking at the laptop...there's no such port. Then again, while searching alternative methods to get a tv-out signal, I kept finding references to the 2500 having a s-video port.

So, pretty confused, I e-mail dell, and this is there response:
Thank you for contacting Dell Technical Support.

From your e-mail I understand that the system in question at present is the Inspiron 2500 system that was purchased on 06-26-2001. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I would like to let you know that the system has only a VGA port as a video option other than the LCD.

A VGA to TV-Out Adapter should work with this system; however since this is a very old system and a TV-Out Adapter is a third-party product we cannot guarantee for its functionality.

I have also searched for the appropriate adapter for your system and I would like to suggest you the following ?Web Cable Plus? adapter:

For installation instructions, please visit the following web page:

Any adapter you purchase, I would suggest you to purchase it on return basis.

Please do revert in case you have any other question or need any clarification.

I?d like to inform you that you had a warranty contract that expired on 06-26-2002
