Looking for some help with my 1 1/2 year old Dell Insprion E1505. When it is plugged up the charge light on the bottom front is Green. When I check the Battery Status it says Batt not Present.

When I unplug it, it will run for at least 15 mins. I have not tested longer than that. The charge light is Orange/red and the Batt status says no Batt present. I talked to Dell support 5 times and reloaded Windows.

Anyone know whats going on ?

Can you be a bit mo specific on this. If you battery flashes red then it's too hot. If the battery flashes 3 times red quickly and one time green, it indicates a busted battery.

    OK Thanks,

With Power cord unplugged the light is Solid orange, but Notebook still running on Batt. When you look at the Power Meter it says no Batt Present.
