Just installed my copy of vista ultimate on my E1505 and its great. No problems so far except for one and its fast and responsive too.

My one issue is that my mouse does not scroll anymore ( the scroll pad line on the right of the touch pad). Is this a driver issue? Thanks

That would be a driver issue yes, keep an eye out for new drivers from whoever made that mouse.

I believe you need the Touchpad software for that (and other touchpad special) function to work. Download the Synaptics Touchpad software for Vista from support.dell.com.

    The first one :(
I have the x1300 card so that should work, i think my ram is too low tho, its 512 and minimum for aero is 1 gb.

I see like the difference, but that's about it. I don't know much about Vista right now. What is the difference/ Is one like complete Aero or something and the other is like mix of XP with Aero? I read somewhere that that's an option and users can also choose classic?

You're really going to need to upgrade your RAM. Otherwise it seems like kind of a waste to have spent all that money on Vista Ultimate.

Im surprised it worked on your system, but congrats on getting it to work. Are you sure its Vista Ultimate, or is that why you need to upgrade ram.

Anyways for the dude above "The Man" Aero is a skin that Vista uses, like how Silver is a different skin to the blue one you get default with XP.

I just use Windows Blinds on my e1505, pretty much vista...looking at least.

Just to clarify, the "skin" of Aero is just one aspect of it. Aero basically includes all of the various special effects, etc. that it is capable of; things like the Flip3d interface, and the stuff that shows a live "screenshot" when you hover over a task in the taskbar are powered by Aero as well.
