    Installed XP on 1400 and...

    It's working good. But I have 3 Base System Device's that need drivers.
    Any suggestions?

    well check EVERYTHING (every port, hardware, ect) also, did u install ALL the drivers from the site?

    Same here with my xp install. Wondering if the 1 sata driver under 'vos1400xp' will correct this. It appears this was for the ''matrix sata,etc" during install. I attempted to install to correct ..........didn't install as other drivers. Xp really nice after trying vista for a few days. Interested in what comes of this.

    I used the drivers listed in the Inspiron-1420-XP thread to get XP running on my Vostro 1400, as Dell's website does not have a complete XP driver set. Everything working 100% now.
