I installed windows 7 on my studio 1537, but can't find bluetooth adaptor in device manager.
I also turned it on before installing. The LED turns on too.
Any suggestion?![]()

you checked the dell drivers website? or you could try to reinstall your entire dell drivers cd
-
Yes. Thanks a lot

welcome does it work now?

Is this fixed? I can't really tell by the last post?
You might also want to check in the BIOS to see if it's been enabled - the bluetooth can be disabled independently of the wifi -
In my opinion, the Bluetooth only works when you install the driver provided by Dell. Without installing the driver, Windows 7 does not even detect the presence of the Bluetooth adapter in the laptop. The device manager doesn't show anything about the Bluetooth adapter until you install the driver. At least this is the case for my Studio 1535.

I didn't even have to sync it, which I figured I'd have to do... but I can only assume that since it was previously synced to this same machine, the mouse "remembered" that. Or something. I don't know enough about BT to know how it handles that sort of thing. All I know is that this is a full clean install, complete reformat, no remnants of the RC leftover at all... and it just worked!
Additionally, I havent actually had to install a single driver from the dell site for my 1537. Windows Update had my video drivers, sd card reader, network, etc etc etc... and recognized them all from its first run.
Just my .02... -
Yeah. I experienced the same situation as you. The mouse still works even after a clean install of Windows 7. At first I was completely happy with it, only to find out later that middle button doesn't respond when I click it and there is no scrolling. Besides that, I need to pair the Bluetooth with my phone. In the end, I was forced to install the WIDCOMM driver.
PS: I'm using a Dell Bluetooth Travel Mouse as well. -
Well my bluetooth worked without additional driver downloads from Dell in Windows 7 RC. In fact I had to download no extra drivers at all; the only things I had to install are not drivers per se, and that is the powerDVD & quickset software.
