I have a brand new Dell e1505. This is my first dell laptop, and before realizing the conseqences, I wiped out all the factory partitions and reinstalled XP Pro.

I would now like to get media direct working, and I cannot seem to find a good step by step on how to accomplish this.

I used partition magic to create 2000+ of unallocated drive space at the end of my drive, but I am not sure what to do after that. Pressing the media direct button boots the computer, the media direct 'first time' routine starts, then blue screens.

I could also use partition magic to move this unallocated space to the front of the hard drive, but there is some risk in doing that, and I am not sure it is necessary.

I am uncertain what to do.... any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did go ahead and order the cyberlink power dvd software, but it has not arrived yet, is this required on my xp pro installtion for media direct to work?

    Thanks in advance,

    Erock
