Hi guys......I need some help. I restored my Inspiron 1520 today installing Windows XP instead of Vista.

The installation went smoothly and the laptop runs fine. I installed all the drivers listed here, minus the Bluetooth one because I don't have bluetooth.

One problem remains and I don't know how to fix it. The internet isn't working. It says that the Wireless Adapter can't be recognized. Has anybody had a similar problem? Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have the Intel wireless or the Dell wireless?

I'm almost positive that we have Dell wireless.

There is a big .exe for all of the dell cards available on this laptop. There is a smaller .exe that covers both intel cards 3945 and 4965 that were available.

Here is a link to the dell drivers for the 1520 running xp:
    http://support.dell.com/support/dow...SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_1520&hidos=WLH&hidlang=en

    The Dell Cards

    The Intel Cards

Intel Utility - if you dont want to use wireless zero config

I'd start with the Dell and then move to the intel stuff. If you have the intel card, the dell drivers won't do anything and if you have the intel card, the dell drivers won't do anything.
