    Hi,

I have been working in large computer ferm for over 6 years now and re-installing OS is one of my duty. (though we just use norton ghost ;))

this weekend I went to mates place to re-install XP Pro on his Dell Dimension 5150 every thing went smooth. But when I tried to install monitor drivers it was down fall.

On Device Manager there is no monitor option. So I went on Display property.

Settings > Advance > monitor tab > here I am suppose to click on property and update drivers but property button is grayed out.

I got the drivers but there is not way to install it.. can someone please help me.

    OS: Windows XP Pro (SP2)
    Monitor: Dell E176FPC 17"
ststaus: monitor works but flicks as you scroll up/down Reason no driver installed.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Kmria.

You could Try the add new hardware option in control panel, and select the "have disk" option, and refer the installer to the driver.inf file for the monitor.
