    Hi All,

I just ordered a Studio 14z from dell.

    - C2D 6600
    - 3gb ddr3 Ram
    - 320gb 7.2k
    - 900p lcd
    - backlit keyboard

The only option I missed out on was the internal bluetooth.

So I read the Service Manual for the 14z and it doesn't seem like it would be to much trouble to manually install the 365 module. Also I found the 365 internal module on ebay WITH the mounting screws. It seems like a perfect fit.

Does anyone have any experience with installing the 365 bluetooth in a studio 14z? Any comments on what I can expect?

    Thanks,
    Rich

It's not too bad, remove the keyboard and top cover. Make sure to detach/attach the keyboard properly and be careful with the antenna routing.

Yes, there's a place for single screw to hold the tiny bluetooth chip but it would work even without the screw since a) it fits tight and b) there's nowhere for it to go in those cramped quarters!

You can access your wireless card and hard drive while you're in there.
