After reformating the XPS M1210, and reinstalling the Audigy HD software, I cannot get the Graphics Equalizer to start like it used to.
I get the following message:
"The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit."
I never got this before the reformat, anyone know how to fix it?

That is the standard error that you get when you actually have a PCMCIA card and it is not plugged in, and you try to start the software. I get that all the time when i try to start the software without my SB card plugged in. On the M1210, you don't have any hardware for it to detect. All you have is the software, and I would probably assume that it is the same software that used with the PCMCIA's cards, so it might be trying to detect the hardware.
You might try having the software start automatically in MSConfig so it doesn't try to detect the hardware. This is what I do on my system, and it runs the software without detecting my card.
If that doesn't work, try reinstalling it. The software is downloadable from Creative, but you'll still have to enter your activation code in. I can get you the link if you want to go that route. It should be the same software on your disc though. -
Did you make sure you installed the default audio drivers BEFORE installing the Audigy Software Add-On?

j4y_7 is right. If you don't install the sigmatel audio card before you install the Audigy software it will not work. The Audigy is simply a software upgrade, and different drivers that work off of the Sigmatel integrated sound.
