    Is it just sound drivers? Nothing else? I should be able to have "better" sound just using itunes or something?

    its just software that allows u to adjust the EQ/bass/etc. I find it to be less than useful.

    no, its a small chip on the mobo it self. not a card like the xifi extremes. anyways, it sucks. get the best one u can.

    The "Audigy" is just software. The onboard sound itself is Sigmatel and uses Sigmatel drivers, whether you got the Audigy software or not.
