If I buy a Dell Inspiron 6000 with an Integrated graphics card can I still put a dedicated one in later? Because I know that you can get 6000s with dedicated cards.

    Thanks for the help

Unfortunately you cannot - the reason being that Integrated graphics cards are part of the MotherBoard, meaning they cannot be removed and replaced with a dedicated solution.

Right it is not upgradeable, even most notebooks with dedicated graphics cards are not upgradeable unless they use MXM or AXIOM they won't be upgradeable as they are soldered to the motherboard.

Dell will actually say you can upgrade, but they will have to change out the motherboard to the 915pm motherboard (that is what they call upgading). That will probably cost you 200+ dollars. When my suitmate questioned dell about this, I told him that he should invest his money into a nice desktop instead.
