On my precision M90 ! with win XP SP2
The card was working last year. Then I turned it off via the function wireless key. I used only the wired ethernet.

Now it wont turn on. In fact there are no wireless adpters in the hardware profile.
I tried intsalling wireless adpaters. I see only two relevant options:
    Intel 3945 (802.11a/b/g)
    Intel 3945 (802.11b/g)

Both install fine, but I get the error:
Device cant start (error code 10).

    Any help ?

Device cant start error code 10 is a USB controller error code. A USB device on your computer is causing the problem. Troubleshoot your USB hardware using the device manager. Try re-installing USB drivers from Dell. Hope this helps.

When I double click the device manager for Intel 3945 (802.11a/b/g), I get
"Adapter state not found in registry".

When I click the above error message, I get:
"Device status: The device cannot start (code 10)"

I havent reinstalled the uSB drivers, as my USB devices seem to be working fine.

Intel has a utility for identifying the wireless adapters installed. When I ran it, it told me it could not find any installed wireless hardware.

So, has the wireless card konked out ? And I need to contact dell ?
