Can the Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-card connect at B and G speeds, or is it N only?

It is backwards compatible with B/G

Thanks Stevey!

i would't get n.. just wait until it's final. there are a TON of compatibility and connection issues. and the current wireless n routers are terrible. and when it is final.. it will be different.. so even more compatibility issues with the one you would get now.

Actually, the current card will support the final N standard. I have the card right now and I haven't had any issues. It reconnects to access points very quickly when coming out of sleep, and has worked with all the access points that I've thrown at it. Think of it this way, do you see yourself needing the higher bandwidth speeds in the future? If G is sufficient for you right now, don't bother.
