Im having problems with my CPU speed, i have a 2ghz Core2 Duo and whenever i start using my cpu (video encoding, or high cpu usage apps) the cpu speeds starts to get freak and most of the times it goes as low as 600mhz instead of 2000 ...
The odd thing here is that im NOT running on batteries and that i have already configured the power plans to high performance and to set the cpu min/max state to 100% on batteries and when pluged, so it should never change.
So far i wasnt able to find a way to say "leave the cpu at 2ghz, i dont care about power saving" and i need it to run at what i bought all the time, is that possible?
i had looked on the BIOS and so far all i found is a way to disable intel speedStep but if i do so the cpu runs at lowest speed (1ghz?) so im wondering who would ever want that setting?
I do have the latest bios installed (A07) and all the drivers/upgrade that i found possible to install, but so far i keep having the same problems.
Anyone experiencing this?
