My D630 came with this Wi-Fi Adapter. Why now there is no option for this adapter at Dell website? Does it has some problems?

They've probably sold their allocation with no new stock imminent.

What's the advantage of the intel wireless N module over the Dell wireless N module?

Just looked again at Dell website and found the 4965AGN only in the expensive M series.

Most people prefers the Intel Wi-Fi adapter rather than Dell. I don“tn know why. Compatibility?

Ill tell you why. The Intel one has a way better range. I currently have in my laptop a Intel and a Dell (broadcom) wireless. Both are plugged into the monitor antennas. I even switched them once and had the broadcom on the main wireless antenna. The Intel still had 5 bars on the other side of the house going thru 5 walls where as the broadcom went down about 25 percent, or to about 3-4 bars.

Thats in my vista. In my other OS which we cant talk about in this forum, the Intel card isn't seen and my broadcom works perfectly but still with a little drop in bars.

well as you can see in my sig, Im talking about the Intel 3945 not the 4965

So, the only noticeable difference was the range.

I run my 4965AGN with XP SP2 with no problems.
