Hi am going to purchase DELL 1420. Its very hard to decide which graphics card to go? either Intel X3100 or NVIDIA 128 MB.
I use to watch movies and view pictures. Rarely i play games. So my req is to watch high clarity movies and to view pictures. Please suggest me which one to go. Will NVIDIA 128 MB really matters to users who do not play??? Please help me out... Thanks in advance

If you are going to play games, get the dedicated card. If not, get the x3100.

hmm Heard Lots of Good Reviews About X3100 and as you said u play rarely so 3100 would be a better and cost effective way to go ;) but it depends on the personal preference too :D

You'll also save up on battery life.

It will, but you're better off with the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M.

The problem is I don't know of any laptops which are around 13.3" that has NVS 140M except Lenovo's. The problem is that from what I've read, Lenovo Canada is really messy right now with lost orders and mass delays. I don't want to deal with that problem.

Just to give you an idea of what the X3100 can do.. I can play Civilization 4 and Halo at 1200x800 resolution with no lag :) It's definitely more than enough for using Windows, watching videos etc. and as you can see it's even enough for some light gaming. :)
