I think they already did to some sort , the cpu options state delays on anything faster then 1.66 so they could hold it for a little longer until the price go down .

I won't mind another price drop on Dells part ...

Supposedly the cut went into effect yesterday, but I have not noticed any price differences on dell's site. I bet they were already adjusted (like powernotebook.com). I assume that Intel would tell a big company like dell approximately how much the price cuts are.

old news, other threads at least a week old...if i were a betting person, i would assume the price drop has been factored in to dell's prices for a few weeks already...

I don't think this will effect dell prices since dell buys at bulk for a reduced price anyway

No, I confirmed it with a Dell Rep who really didn't seem to care that he was totally trying for me to wait on buying a laptop. I guess it's not comission for him. He stated Dell prices will not reflect any price drop and in most cases this week will go up on certain parts. Not the best of news.

Thats life!!! If you keep waiting around for something you will never get anything done! Technology is alway improving are you going to wait to get a notebook next year just to get a notebook with a direct 10X video card or a merom cpu? dont think so! It all depends on your needs VS. your wants!

i thought a bios update on any 945 based chipsets (like e1405 for example) can be loaded w/ a bios update, pop the chip out, pop the merom in and viola...latest/great laptop.
