I have 2 inspiron laptops (1100 and 5150) and i wont to install mini-pci cards into them. I have 2 options:

    1- intel pro wireless 2200
    2- Dell 1450

My question do my laptop support both of them and which one is better. Dell support wasn't very helpful.

    Thanks

you shouldnt get the centrino sticker even if you get the 2200, because the 1100 and 5150 dont support the centrino chipset (you have to have that chipset, a pentium m, and intel 2100 or 2200 cards but its up to you. If RaNDoMMAI says 1350 is good, then, well, there you have a good product at a cheap price, go for it...

so you're saying that intell 2200 is not compatible with inspiron 1100 and 5150 because they're not centrino? aren't they all mini-pci cards, what's the difference?

no, i'm not saying its not compatible, i'm just saying, pretty much it doesnt make a difference if you dont have a centrino computer. If your computer is a regular P4, it shouldnt matter. It only matters when you have a computer thats supposed to support centrino, then its wise to get the 2200.
