This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Does anyone have meaningful, hands-on experience with both machines? I'm really interested in comparing the build quality (rigidity, fit and finish) and whether the Thinkpads still have the best keyboards or not. Screen comparisons (WXGA+) would also be good to hear about.

    As a long-time Thinkpad buyer I'm impressed with what I've heard about the D630 but have never actually played with one. I've stayed away from Dell in the past due to build issues (yes, I worked in a company with an endless stream of busted Dells) but it seems the company is getting its act together with business-class notebooks now.
