I work at Radioshack, so I have empoyee discounts on AT&T And Sprint. With sprint I can pay $15 a month for unlimited data and no contract, but I have to have my own Data card, or buy one out right. I would like to get the sprint internal broadband card, but it shows it requires an activation, and if I activate it through them it is going to make me sign a contract which I cannot do. Is there a way to buy the internal sprint broadband card from Dell or anyone else out right with no activation? I have the Dell Vostro 1500.

Uh... eBay? I honestly don't know.
Google is your best friend in this instance.

Well I was really wanting to get it through Dell if possible, thats why I made this thread. I dont trust ebay that much, and I really want to buy froma trusted source. If somebody knew of a trusted online store that has them that would be great.

I believe the statement, "requires activation", is for actual use.
You should be able to buy it from Dell and activate it anywhere (ie
Radioshack).
I was just about to purchase one when I saw the price jumped $45
(at least for the Verizon unit) since last month. -
I ordered the Verizon 5720 from Dell and activated it at a local
VZW store yesterday (no additional fees or anything - I was doing
an ESN transfer).
NOTE: in my package was a $100 mail-in rebate for new activation or renewal of 2 year agreement on a internal 5700 or 5720 mini pci card.
Must activate between 10/1/2007 and 12/31/2007
Maybe Sprint has similar??? -
You don't have to activate through Dell. Simply buy the card install it and transfer your existing account to the new card. All you need is the ESN. I did it in about 10 mins from start to finish. Works great and the Dell software for Sprint is very nice.
