My wireless loses signal at random points and when I refresh the list, there are no wireless networks to be found. This isn't my router otherwise other networks would show up when I refresh. If I turn it off at the side button and back on then it connects again....until it disconnects 10minutes later.

Is this a hardware issue you think?

It could be a bad wireless card. Have you downloaded the latest drivers first?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling your wireless card driver.

I will try that first. Just seems weird all of a sudden after almost 24/7 use for the last 16months that it suddenly starts cutting out?

No luck just did it again.

I bought the basic Broadcom 802.11g card....Isn't there a better Intel N card available? Maybe its a good time to upgrade. My router is N.

As I said its not the router. Just to confirm, it did the same at school earlier during my summer classes and really pissed me off. If it were the router then other networks would be available when it dropped out, but none show up at all as if the card lost all wireless capabilities.

Card is the Dell Broadcom 802.11g. I'm looking at the Intel WiFi N card...looks about $30 shipped on ebay.
