still the 1537 we love underneath, now sponsored by BMW!

yeah, the Dell thing wasn't working for me. the more i looked at it, the more i went: Ehhhh... blahhh....
so with a few lose parts laying around, it's a PERFECT fit.
-
Nice big money wasted laptop there
-
and that's where the irony comes in. i paid highway robbery price for the 1537.
BMW's are not that expensive if you have your own tools to do some of the work; of course, i'm talking about older ones and not the newest line-up they have.

Looks nice bro
-
Looks good!
-
Looks nice! I should put the Lamborghini bull on my Studio to match my car... oh wait
-
SomeFormOFhuman has the dumbest username.
I can imagine if people were to ask you:
Hey man, what laptop do you own?
A BMW.
Er... a what?
Yes that's right, I own a BMW laptop.
PS: Since they have the exact fit, have you tried putting your Dell logo on your car? I think this is a great conversation starter:
Look man, Dell makes cars, BMW makes laptops, don't argue with me!
-
Aha... nice
-
hahahahahaa!!! if that would work, i'd get an e30 318i and do it but the roundel is something wacked size. i bought it for the 88 ix i had for the center cap but it's WAY too small. there's little to no roundels by BMW this size anymore or anywhere.
my 540's roundel is about twice the size so unless dell comes up with a sticker twice their logo, i'll puti it on for fun -
Well, the two go together great. Overpriced badge engineering the pair of them.
I can just see it now.
Dell service "Yes caller, how can I help you?"
Buyer "Its about this Dell BMW XPS laptop i have just bought for $2,0000"
DS "Yes?"
B "It has no screen"
DS, "Yes, thats extra"
B "Well where is my hard drive?"
DS "Thats extra too"
B "So for $2,000 I get a laptop case?"
DS "Yes, pretty much"
B "I could have got a HP Ford Explorer laptop with 1TB of hard drive and a LEED screen for $1,000"
DS "Yes, but it would not have had the Dell/BMW name on it would it?"
Oh wait, they already do this with Alienware......... -
rofl...
have you owned a bmw before? i feel bad for those who lease their's. it's such a rip because it's pretty much a fully unloaded one unless you get some extras which will cost ya.
funny thing you mentioned overpriced. buddy of mine picked up a brand new Camry earlier this year. when he got the car he noticed: no floor mats! he went to the sales guy and asked where are they and guess what? they're extra. and not the $50 extra thing.. they wanted well over $100 for OEM floor mats. he just dropped over $30,000 for a camry and they couldn't bother giving him floor mats!!??? you may pay for it in at BMW but at least you get it. -
my car was 34,000 otd with no floormats or stereo. No speakers either.
i love my car.
my mom wasnt too thrilled when i came home with it
was that a custom badge or was it off an actual bmw? -
the badge was for really old BMW's center caps on their rims. i thought it would fit my 325iX's but it's way too small. i kept it anyways just for the hell of it; it was only like $9 shipped so who cares.
anyways, i was sitting on the couch looking at the laptop's cover and thought: "hum... i wonder if that'll fit."
gave it a try and BAM! Dell's BMW Edition! having a good roffle waffle everytime i see it. -
lol thats funny. nice job.
