My new system for $1080 with TAX/SHIPPING

Do you think I will be fine with the 1440x900 resolution for games? I had the 1680x1050 but that was too small for me. I figure this would be just right.

    My new order specs:

    Inspiron 1520, Intel Core 2 Duo T7500, 2.2GHz, 800Mhz, 4M L2 Cache
Jet Black Color with Matte Finish
    2GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm
High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch display (1440x900)
    256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
    120GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
    Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
    Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy
Intel 3945 WLAN (802.11a/g) Mini Card
    Integrated 2.0M Pixel Webcam
    Dell Wirless 355 Bluetooth Mod

It's definitely a plus to have an extra GB of RAM, although if you do want that much RAM I advise that you purchase only 1 gig so that you can go somewhere such as newegg and purchase an extra 2 gig stick afterwards (which is much cheaper).

I was thinking about doing that but I don't want to screw around with that latch under the keyboard right now. Maybe when the thing gets older I won't care as much :D

Its very easy, even for someone as clumsy as me. Save $140 and buy from newegg.

There's never too much ram, especially with Vista. It will find tasks for a lot of it and put it to good use, whether it's indexing or prefetch.

If you don't want to mess with opening the actual case, get it with 2 GB from Dell and buy a single 2 GB stick from NewEgg. This way, if one goes bad, you still have a spare 1 Gb, and you'll save lots of money vs. buying 3 GB from Dell.

darn i feel stupid I keep thinking that notebooks have four slots and they were putting 4 512 modules in the notebook. I wasn't thinking they were putting 1GB of memory under the keyboard and 1GB on the back. Heck, I can get a 2GB from newegg or another computer supply store....instead of paying $125 for 1 additional gig of ram lol :)
