    Is 5400rpm / 7200rpm a big difference?

    I am considering buying a dell laptop.... and I dont know how much is the difference between the hard disk speeds?

    If you're concerned about gaming, all it really affects is the load times. You'll have a longer load with a 5400. Performance in game should not be affected though. Same goes for other apps, unless for some reason there is intensive interaction between the app and the hard drive.
