Hey, if you're like me and set your heart out on a 1530, you probably have the same love/hate relationship with it as I do. I mean shelling out 1300+ big ones was heart wrenching for all of us, but then we got a great system and we kinda forgot it all.

So now its all working great but in a few year its gonna suck, not cause of the cpu or memory or anything cause dual core processors are going to be fast for a long long time, and memory is upgradable. So why on earth should the GPU be the bottleneck.

Dell should start making a new line of 1530s with powerful next gen graphics which provide us the option to upgrade later.

Im ecstatic that I can play World in Conflict on Medium-High with 30+fps right now, I want to keep playing later on too.

    Anyone with me

Cus of heating issues and so forth....

You cant fit an 8700m or 8800m and expect it to be as light and sleek as the m1530

They probably figure people who want a better GPU/gaming laptop will go with their Alienware line of notebooks.

Yeah exactly, it's a great looking medium sized laptop with a fairly slim form factor. If you want an upgradeable GPU, you'll have to upsize to a porker.

Every laptop is a sacrifice in one way or another, it's just up to you to decide which ones you make.

Personally I'll take the M1530 and be satisfied with it for 3-4 years performance wise if everything holds up. People are getting up to ~4700 in 3dmark06 with stock clocks and good driver choices, up to ~6500 with video card overclocking, and up to ~7000 with video card and processor overclocking.

To me that says "pretty future proof", for a laptop of its size and weight.
