I was looking over the configuration options on the Dell 1530, and just to UPGRADE to a 9-cell they want $199 - thats just completely crazy. I remember looking at the laptop last week and you could get both a 9-cell and 6-cell for just $100, now they want $299 for the same thing. Is this a mistake?

There is a notebook battery shortage, and hence the increased prices. You can thank Adam Smith and his "invisible hand" for that (i.e. supply-demand theory in free-market economics)
