I've got an XPS M140 that I bought from Dell Outlet a couple of years ago. It did not come with a MediaDirect CD. My MD partition is long gone since I never much cared for it. Now I'm expecting (someday, maybe) a new XPS M1530 and will part with the M140. Will I be able to use the MediaDirect CD from the new M1530 to recreate the partition on my old M140? Or are the versions different for different XPS models?

Media Direct is the same for all computers. So, yes you can reinstall it on your M140.
