You have no patience, do you?

It's the 8400GS GDDR3, IIRC, it only comes in GDDR3.

Its GDDR3, but its clocks are more at GDDR2 level. You can overclock the hell out of it if you want to .

Well its memory runs at 1200mhz (600mhz x2 coz its DDR) whereas most DDR3 comes in faster than that say 1600mhz (800mhz x 2)

But im not quite sure what DDR2 you have thats running at that speed coz its pretty fast.

I think preple are getting confused becasue for graphics cards they normally say the actual mhz of the ram without doubling it becasue its DDR. beacus DDR does not double requency it just makes it equivelant to something that is double teh frequency. Anys the 600mhz ram on the 8400GS is way way faster than teh DDR2 in teh rest of youyr laptop becasue its only really 333mhz

Anything higher than 500 MHz is DDR3, or grossly overclocked and unstable DDR2. The DDR3 in the 8400GS is clocked to 600 MHz, due o the lower heat dissipation capacity of a 13" chassis.
BTW, I've OCed the memory to 780 MHz(1560 DDR), and the temps went up to 97C...
