Hi every one. I made this vedio by request to give any one who is looking to by an XPS 1530 and keep reading about load noise from the DVD/CD slot.

the camera was 3 inches away from the laptop so normally you shouldn't her it that load. also it will be load if you don't adjust your speackers volume while watching this vedio.

this is very acceptable sound to me.

yes I saw that vedio. that was the reason I made this one. I think that laptop does have a slot problem.

Im just curious because I'm paranoid, but how much noise does everyone's 1530 make on the left side? (probably where the processors are, or maybe HD) but there's usually a loading type sound coming from mine constantly unless I do nothing (sorry dont know how to explain it) is this normal?

I'm seriously thinking about going for the 1530 with the same specs as you have listed in your sig. However, I really need to get some views on how noisey the system runs and how hot the system can get.

    Thanks

I dont think it's super loud, or even that loud at all I'm just curious whether or not other people's make the same sound just because I'm unsure if mine's normal or not. As for heat I havent had any problems with it, but I havent been able to game on it since I got it which I've read when it gets really hot. (in need of a cooling tray some people have even said) You might want to look in the other thread about how noisy the fan is as I have the same thing going on with mine (kicks on for about 30 seconds after a few minutes) I dont know if everyone (who use vista) is having this same problem or if it's even a problem at all, im still waiting for an official answer- as for now it's just doing its thing and seems to work ;)
