    No, the recovery partition is only a factory image of Windows + drivers + bloatware.

    No. It's just a ghost image of the original factory install. So if you hose things up you can restore the image back to square 1.

    Yes, when you send back your computer, dell will send it to someone else, and then they will know EVERYTHING about you. :)

    if you are implying pr0n sites that's the least of my worries....anyways I re installed vista but the screen is jacked up cause none of the dell drivers are installed...and I don't feel like installing them one by one will dell care?

    I dont think Dell will care. Since they will sell your system as refurbished, they would most probably reload the HDD with a image.

    Never heard of anyone buying a refurbished laptop with the previous owner's data

    I read in one old post here about a customer receiving a laptop with another owner's hard drive when the unit was sent in for repair so I say it's possible that personal information might be read by another and if that happens, just pray to God that the person on the receiving end is honest and would return the hdd just like the one in the post I mentioned and not use the info for personal gain. But regarding the question if information is stored in the recovery drive, I would say no unless you targeted that particular drive/partition as the installation directory of let's say, firefox, or any web browser since these programs can store passwords and usernames, or probably some credit card data.

    yea I wiped them with kill disc and reinstalled vista but none of the Dell drivers are installed so I wondering if dell will care...cause the screen is messed upp cause it doesnt have the video driver installed

    No, they won't care. They re-image them regardless.
