    Is anyone else ever have problems with UPS?

    I ordered a E1505 last Wednesday and it went through the stages and shipped out on Friday 11/3. Ok so I was happy, i got my tracking number and they said it would be delivered 11/6 but they rescheduled it for 11/7. So today goes by and im sitting waiting for UPS like a little kid waiting for the ice cream truck and i see him go to every house but mine. Now mind you the tracking number said it was still in the sort facility in my state (not my local facility), it never said anything like "On delivery truck" but i figured they must have not scanned the box or whatever.

    What should I do? Has anyone else had problem like this with UPS? On the dell sit it says this "Delivery Estimate: November 8 - November 10."

    it has read this all weekend + Monday. I am sitting here wondering where my laptop is!

    They love to lose laptops...ask abaxter.

    I ordered a Dell desktop three years ago, in which the box (and computer) was so badly damaged that the desktop case had broken open and the computer was busted up inside.

    They've lost my packages for a week at a time, returned one, and lost my business a long time ago.

    It could be that Dell has put a hold on it so it will not be delivered until the delivery window. That has happened to some of our users before. I would call UPS and see what they say. They can give you more detailed information than the website can. You can try calling dell, but I have a feeling they will not tell you a thing.

    yeah, I called UPS twice and really got info back that I already knew.


    What do I say when I call them?

    I would ask why your laptop hasn't be delivered yet and is there a hold or any notes on the package. Most likely, Dell probably has put a hold on it so you don't get it until the delivery date - don't ask me why they do this, but i've heard about it before.

    That sucks:-\ Well tomorrow will go past faster because i work :eek:

    But if UPS screws up my order ill beat them up :)

    When i ordered my Dell 5150 it said out for delivery but they pass right by my house and reschedule delivery for next day. This isn't the first time UPS has done this. I'd chose Fedex or DHL anytime over UPS!

    Well, my new E1505 is shipping via UPS as well, so hopefully I have a good experience with it...time will tell!

    UPDATE:

    I chatted with UPS the other day and they basically told me where was nothing they could do and I got pretty mad. They told me to call DELL. I called dell and they said I had to wait 3-5 business days in order to file a lost or stolen package. *I went to work* Came home on my lunch break and I was still heated so I called DELL back and within 5 minutes I got a replacement with Next Day delivery plus a 50 Dell coupon. I am happy with Dells service. UPS blows chunks. So with that 50 dollars I am going to buy myself the TV tuner that goes with my laptop!

    Ill review my E1505 when I get for everyone.

    Know how long a replacement takes to show up in your order status?

    I've never personally had any issues with ups. Then again Dell didn't ship my laptop using that company either. Also to be quite honest I've never had any issues with any of the shipping carriers. Then again I have shipping accounts with all 3 so.....

    P.S. - DHL likes to come by whenever they feel like it. Sometimes they show up early and other times they might show up late. UPS and Fedex however are usually fairly consistent. UPS shows up no later than 12:30PM and Fedex no later than 4:30PM (usually around 3-4PM).
