This question might sound really stupid... But here goes:

Are ALL Dell I8600's configurable in these aspects?

    *Graphics card
    *RAM
    *Processor

I dunno... People are talking about how they configured theirs... I might just get one if this is the case...

if i understand you right, yea, they are. Just go to Dell's site (www.dell4me.com, which is the direct Home/Home Office Site) and go to notebooks, then click the picture of the i8600 and follow from there. You can customize the processor, ram, gpu, optical drive, etc.

Yes, you can replace the processor, RAM, and video card on your own. However, be warned that this would void your warranty. You can only change the video cards with ones that are available for the 8600 only.

he means you can upgrade the graphics card, Ram, and processor yourself, but your warranty on the computer would be-hmm, whats a good word for it-canceled, deleted, expired...that kind of stuff... about the second part, he means like, say for example you get the graphics card as the geforce fx go5200 or whatever the 64 mb version is, you can only upgrade to the Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo, because that is the highest the i8600 goes. You cant upgrade to the Mobility Radeon 9700 or the 9800 because the i8600 wont support that.
