I just got my 1530 (specs in sig) and it seems pretty solid. Keyboard is kinda klunky, there is a slight bubble in the middle due to the wire issue, and the trackpad SUCKS, but I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of my Samsung screen. Part number is W345C.

I have purposely been avoiding the 'Grainy screen' thread so I would have an unbiased opinion of the screen when I got it. Now that I have my hands on this baby, I really don't have any issue with this screen.

I guess not knowing what to look for may be why I am happy with the screen. Does anyone else here have the Samsung screen and are fine with it?

Just trying to see if I am the only one.

RSN...actually, I've been reading all those threads and I just got my m1530 with the same part number.

I think the screen is pretty damn good too. I put a phone call in to try and get an LG...spent about a full day on the phone and through chat with them to no avail.

I'm probably gonna keep this screen and just have the tech come out to fix the keyboard (same problem as you).

    I'm really enjoying this computer.

BTW, I ordered the computer the EXACT same day as you with the EXACT same specs just with 4GB instead of 3GB ram.

Thanks silvergator, I think I am going to stick with this screen too.

This system is ten times faster than my i8600 I bought 4 years ago, I can't wait to put it through its paces.

I actually was supposed to get this on 4/8 but I was on a business trip all week and just got home this morning. It was pure torture knowing it was waiting for me.

Hope you enjoy your 1530 as much I hope I will.

I was unhappy with the screen at first because of the color looked washed out compared to my computer monitor, but after some tweaking I am now satified. I just don't really think it's worth it trying to get an LG brand, my time better spend else where than on the phone with dell customer service lol.
