I have seen quite a few complaints about people receiving their system and there are issues...

Is it because the Tech's are not checking the units fully or does all this occour during shipping?

    :(

It is partially the nature of our site. We are here to help people so of course you are going to see more complaints/problems than anything else. This is the same for all manufacturers - not just dell. Otherwise, there would be no need for the forums if it was just praise and glory.

Due to some problems of computer parts there're minor number of laptops have issues. OTherwise, It's Ok. MOst recently issue is the Blue Screen of Death due to Graphic card driver and unequal quality of LCD screens. THat what i had experienced with.

Theres always some small percentage of failure, Dells market share equates to a misrepresentation of poor quality. Actually its the opposite.
Dells are great machines given each models price point and target market.

I'm glad someone finally said it. When a company is the #1 computer distributor in the world it is bound to have the most occurrences of problems. The Inspirons may not be as well built as others, but the fact that you can get a 7900GS Core 2 Duo machine for under $1700 means you have to compromise. If you need durability, go for the Latitudes. If you need durability AND power, go for the M90 or the XPS line which, while built on the same chassis as the E1705, feature subtle changes that add to overall quality and also offer better Customer Support if you do happen to have any problems.
