    Is it normal for the bottom front of the screen to get hot?

    Its not really the screen but the area between the hinges when you open the laptop up. The hottest spot is in the middle between the hinges, right were dell is written.


    I just happen to notice its hotter then the rest of the laptop.

    Is this normal?

    I believe that is where the connection to the LCD screen is located. That is why it gets hotter.

    AS far as I know, that's where the backlight inverter is. So: normal.

    right now the lower part of the scren is heating up for me too and i beleive its normal to heat up though i beleive its nothing that extreme and agree it is where the backlight inverter is located

    Yeah that's normal.
    As far as I know some laptops don't get as hot as others. My friend's dell gets pretty hot there (if I touch it). I never really noticed on my Sager.

    Yes it is very normal especially on the XPS
