And if its possible, is it even worth it? Or will the wireless technology increase in a few months so that the built-in option won't be as fast as a next-gen card?

It is possible to upgrade. You can read how to do so in the XPS M1330 manual.

Parts can be bought on Ebay of from Dell parts and upgrades section.
I suppose it is worth it if you use mobile broadband or you want to and you use the company that Dell are linked to. -

It is a very simple upgrade. Should take 5 mins tops.

Users as far as Australia have purchased Dell's Wireless 5520 HSDPA card from eBay U.S. and installed it in the mini-card slot themselves. FYI, there's already a SIM card slot behind in the battery. However, this is using cellular service and there's a newer technology called Wimax that's specualted to be more pervalent than any existing wireless broadband.

Have one myself it would be handy if i could transfer it over -

GPS-Enabled!
Not sure why, but only the Sprint version has GPS, not Verizon.
Is it possible to "upgrade" an M1330 and add the built-in wireless broadband?
